Everyone Needs A Boring Mani Once In A While...

I've been sick and in bed for a few days so yes.... This is a really boring mani. It's just plain white *yawns*. It really compliments my skintone (or any skintone) though. It makes me look tanner than I really am. Maybe, I'll add sparkles later or some nail art.... Anyways, here it is

This is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. It is just a plain ol' stark white with no yellow undertones. *yawns* this isn't a cream or off white in any sense. I actually like it a lot though!

Have you ever worn plain white? Do you like it?

My Birthday Mani!

My birthday is tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! In honor of my b-day, I did b-day nails! This is what I usually do on special occasions.... I write what it is on my nails! Today, they say "Its my B-day" and on the thumb it says "13"! Lets see what I'm talking about:

For the base, I used a purple franken I made. I used a Stripe Rite nail striper in white for the letters and numbers. I topped it all with 2 coats of Nubar 2010. I like it! Imo, it's a great and festive birthday mani!

What do you think? I wanna know!

Spongebob Turns Blue???

No..... Our yellow friend who lives in Bikini Bottom is not turning blue. I just named it that because I sponged my nails with blue. I like the result but it isnt as dramatic as some other possible sponges. Enough with the talking.... lets get swatching!

I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Blue Me Away for the base. To sponge I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, NYC Cashmere Creme (which is not a creme! It is a sheer metalic frost!), and Delias Gold. I also used my Essie Matte About You topcoat.

I like this manicure but expect another one tomorrow or friday because friday is my birthday!!!
Also sorry for the bad pictures so far.... I want a new camera for my birthday

What do you think? Love it, hate it? I wanna know!

I Got Mail.... NAIL MAIL!

Well the title pretty much explains it all! I got my Essie Matte About You and Nubar 2010. Nubar 2010 is supposed to be a Hidden Treasure dupe but I don't have one to compare (I want one though!) I also got my Nabi Yellow today but I didn't swatch it yet. You can expect a post about that soon. I had a red nail polish lying around so I created this:

AHHHH! MATTE FLAKES ARE AWESOME!!!!! So I used a Shades of The Season unnamed red (did i mention how much I hate unnamed polishes?), Nubar 2010, and then topped it with Essie Matte About You... It gives such a cool effect! The flakies didn't loose any of their flaky duochrome-y goodness while matte. They flash red, orange, yellow, gold, and green! I couldn't capture the green that well because that only shows in sunlight.... Amazing though! I love it! Nubar 2010 is a must have if you can't find Hidden Treasure. (No wonder it's called HIDDEN treasure lol)

In any event, this is a great combo and I can't wait to see it over black!

Crackle and Gerald!

Hey Guys! Yesterday I got my pillow pet blanket! I named him Gerald
So I also got a cuticle remover from Sally Hansen that was supposed to be big.... and it is like the height of my pointer finger! For $5 off of amazon... I am really upset. But for those of you who only care about my nails... here's my NOTD
Nope it's not Halloween.... (I actually didn't notice it when I was doing my nails) I just wanted an orange mani with black crackle! So I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Sunkissed and 1 fairly thin coat of China Glaze Crackle in Black Mesh.

Have a GREAT DAY guys!

P.S. I am getting fake nails put on today for just like 3 or 4 days so in my next post, dont freak out if my nails grew suspiciously longer!

NOTD - Water Marble Fail.....?

Hey Guys! Today I have a failed water marble for you.... Cut me some slack, it's only my second time!
I used 2 unnamed Shades of The Season in a red and a black. Don't you just love unnamed nail polishes? At least they are nice and opaque in 1 coat or 2 if you're not careful! I also used an NYC color in Cashmere Creme which is sort of sheer.
In any event, I think we can all agree that this is a failed mani but I'll try again later :)

So what do you think? Fail or what?
