Catching Up On Some Nail Art

Hey Guys! I have done a lot of nail art that I havent shown you so here it is....

I used a frankened base that coincidentally is the same color as my shirt (realized that after I finished the mani. I used Sally Hansen Emerald City, Orly Prince Charming, and Petites Night for the camo blobs. I topped it off with 2 coats of Matte About You.

This was just Orly Prince Charming for the cookies, Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Black for the outline, the word "cookies", and the chocolate chips, and a Stripe Rite nail art striper in White for the milk.
I used a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I used a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Black for the dotted lines and the scissors.

*sigh of relief* Phewww! Thats done! This was all in the span of just 3 days! WOW!!! I am currently wearing the camo.

Spongebob Turns Blue???

No..... Our yellow friend who lives in Bikini Bottom is not turning blue. I just named it that because I sponged my nails with blue. I like the result but it isnt as dramatic as some other possible sponges. Enough with the talking.... lets get swatching!

I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Blue Me Away for the base. To sponge I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, NYC Cashmere Creme (which is not a creme! It is a sheer metalic frost!), and Delias Gold. I also used my Essie Matte About You topcoat.

I like this manicure but expect another one tomorrow or friday because friday is my birthday!!!
Also sorry for the bad pictures so far.... I want a new camera for my birthday

What do you think? Love it, hate it? I wanna know!

I Got Mail.... NAIL MAIL!

Well the title pretty much explains it all! I got my Essie Matte About You and Nubar 2010. Nubar 2010 is supposed to be a Hidden Treasure dupe but I don't have one to compare (I want one though!) I also got my Nabi Yellow today but I didn't swatch it yet. You can expect a post about that soon. I had a red nail polish lying around so I created this:

AHHHH! MATTE FLAKES ARE AWESOME!!!!! So I used a Shades of The Season unnamed red (did i mention how much I hate unnamed polishes?), Nubar 2010, and then topped it with Essie Matte About You... It gives such a cool effect! The flakies didn't loose any of their flaky duochrome-y goodness while matte. They flash red, orange, yellow, gold, and green! I couldn't capture the green that well because that only shows in sunlight.... Amazing though! I love it! Nubar 2010 is a must have if you can't find Hidden Treasure. (No wonder it's called HIDDEN treasure lol)

In any event, this is a great combo and I can't wait to see it over black!

Fake Tips and French Manicures

I got my first fake tips put on yesterday. They are not that long but its still hard to type. It's hard to get used to me having actual normal sized nails. I want to grow them out this height. Too bad they will probably be really weak when I take off the tips in 2 or 3 days. Anyways, I decided to go with a classic french with a twist. I used a coat of Orly Love Each Other when I got home. It is a clear base with subtle purple shimmer that I couldn't capture well. I tried my hardest! Well I will quit talking and show you what I mean.

I didn't capture the shimmer but it is really pretty and adds a nice touch to this plain french manicure. The nail technician used OPI Alpine Snow and a plain Essie topcoat that seems to be a bit thick and old, seeing that it was almost empty and didn't leave my nails shiny. I think she did a good job on the length though! What do you think?

P.S. I am supposed to get my Matte About You, Nubar 2010, and Nabi Yellow any time now.... Swatches will be shown soon.
